The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (RMWB) is looking at the feasibility of a dirt bike track in Anzac and want to better understand community interest and to help determine if this project is feasible. 

Council has taken an important step to make residential garbage drop-off free at the landfill, which would take effect once the Fees, Rates and Charges Bylaw is amended in the coming weeks. 

Council passed a motion at its Aug. 25 meeting directing RMWB administration to bring forward a bylaw amendment which, once approved by Council, will allow free disposal of residential garbage at the landfill.  

Back to school means school zone speed restrictions will be in effect. Expect increased vehicle and pedestrian traffic on the road during peak times as some schools resume as early as Aug. 31.
